1. Having chosen the menu item ONLINE SYLLABUS and ENTRY, a set of disciplines will appear in a menu on the RHS -  Dance/Vocal/Instrumental/Speech… 
    1. Select an area in which you are interested.
    2. OR choose the SEARCH FOR EVENT - by number or by term.
    3. You can expand the SPECIAL Menu Item for special listings such as New Events, School Events, etc.
    4. Each year it is worth checking the New Events (under Special) as there may be events you were unaware were available
    5. Scholarship entrants need to read the directions carefully to make sure they have entered sufficient and appropriate events.
  2. In most disciplines there are more than one page of listed events- you can scroll through these to see what is on offer this year. 
  3. Some events will immediately have an ADD TO CART button showing.  However in many cases you will need to choose a "variant" first - for instance the age-limited sections will have multiple listings for the different ages and you will need to choose one BEFORE you enter details such as name etc.   If you forget to do so please check that the name you have entered is still there - otherwise we will not know the competitors name for the entry. 
  4. After you have entered the necessary information click the  ADD TO CART button - this will then send the event to your "Shopping Cart" and you can either continue to add more events or choose to finalise the entry.
  5. On each event there is an "Email Enquiry about this event" which can use to find out more details - e.g. if you don't know what songs are suitable for singing in the Traditional Folk Song section, you can Email an Enquiry and receive the information back via email.
  6. Some suggestions may appear as to other events which you might like to enter (e.g. if you enter the Vocal Solo 10 years and under it might suggest to you that there is also a Traditional Folk Song and a Character Song of about the same age).
  7. TIMING REQUESTS - relate to scheduling of the events, not to the time limit of an item.  Please read this information. In general it should be left blank. 
  8. When finished go to CHECKOUT (you may add/delete items ) . Keep an eye on the "quantity box" in case you accidentally enter the same event twice.
    1. Fill in payment arrangements and you have completed the entry
    2. VERY VERY IMPORTANT - make sure your email address is entered correctly.
    1. NOTE: When payment is completed you will receive an email confirming your entries. This contains an Order/Invoice Number, in case you wish to refer to the entry.  If you do not receive the email the entry is not complete - and may not have been received by the administrator.  You should also check your SPAM (JUNK) mail in case your server has sent it there.

    2. Please check the details on your emailed entry invoice - it is much easier to change then than coping with a change in programme after the timetabling has been done.
    3. If you have problems entering a particular section the This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. can make adjustments and send you a Request for Payment using PAYPAL (completed with Credit Card or PayPal).
    4. The Order/Invoice Number will also be useful to you in finding out the timetabling for your events after the programming is complete (early May) -even before the printed programme. 
  9. If you would like a programme posted to you, you need to order this either separately or at the same time.   It is "Event No." 001 and is available on the listings when any of the sections is chosen. This is also available AFTER the closing date for entries, should you forget to order it when making the entry.
  10. From 2017 we are making available a DOWNLOADABLE ONLINE PROGRAMME - event which may be purchased at any time but will only be available after the programme is printed. It is one of the variants of event 001 - PROGRAMME.  This programme is for use on a computer or tablet or phone, not for printing,  and up to 3 copies of the document may be downloaded with one order.   IT IS IMPORTANT NOT TO WASTE THESE DOWNLOADS - wait until an announcement on the front page of the website indicates that the programmes are ready for download.
  11. Printed programmes are available at the front desk at each hall on the day of the events.  See Hall Admission Charges.
  12. Seniors entrants may request an emailed version of the Seniors Programme sent to any specificed email address.  Seniors programmes will NOT be posted but can be downloaded free from the Downloads Page once the programming is complete.
  13. All timetabling information will be available online as soon as timetabling is complete for your discipline.  Email advice will be sent to the entry email advising that you can access this information for your Order Number.
