Speech Events Specific Information

  1. All own choice  material for the adjudicator must be clear and unmarked
  2. Set Works
    • do a search on keyword "Set Works" to find all events requiring set works in speech.
    • obtain a copy of the set works by
    • EITHER
      • going to the Downloads Page to download a complete copy of the current year's set works.
    • OR
  3. Disabilities.
    •  Special provisions can be made to minimise any disadvantage to the competitor. 
    • Teachers- please advise of any disability on the entry form
    • In the event of a section being unviable for a competitor , they will be given the option of transferring to another section, or having their entry free refunded.
  4. Memory
    • Performances should be memorised, except for Prepared Readings
  5. Please read the Rules and Entry Conditions, and the Information for Contestants to maximise your participation in this Eisteddfod.
  6. All Speech and Drama Events  will be held at the West Ryde Community Hall, 3 - 5 Anthony Road, West Ryde.
  7. NOVICE events are for performers who have NEVER ENTERED a speech event at any eisteddfod (AS AT THE TIME OF CLOSING DATE OF ENTRIES).  Performers entering Novice events are also entitled to perform in other sections at the same eisteddfod.
